Dear Diydoctor,
I need your help please. I have found a leak in my indirect cylinder tank. A leak is in the connector which is connected with threaded nut to the tank on FLOW TO BOILER. I have from a friend that if I try to tie that nut which is attached to the the tank, I might damaged the coil which is running from flow to boiler to return from boiler. I thought of using Bosewhite jointing to fill on the nut which can stop the leak. I would like your advise please. Shall I use a spanner to tie that nut??? It got to be done very soon.
Thank you.

ARUN,
You could try some of the 2-part putty sold for sealing such leaks but the only sure option will be to re-seal the connection. By all means try tightening the nut first you may be lucky.
