boiler keeps tripping (problem solved) :-)

Hi, we have a potterton performa 24 combi boiler. over the weekend we drained the system so we could add a flushing solution ready to have some new inhibitor added in a few weeks. the system was refilled and the heating seems to be working fine but when we turn the hot tap on it gives us hot water for a brief period, makes a noise that sounds like an aeroplane landing and then trips the heater off, Any suggestions please ?
Thanks
update on this post..... we have come to the conclusion that the noise is coming from the pump, it makes the noise then cuts out the flame, it doesnt do thiswhen its heating only, but if we turn the tap on when the heating is also on it will make the noise and then cut the flame. could this problem be linked to the heating being drained over the weekend or is it just coincidence that its playing up now ? :(
Problem solved, It turned out to be the heat exchanger blocked, took it off, gave it a good flushing out and put it back and that seems to have done the trick, will buy a new one even if the old one is still working, if its blocked up once no doubt knowing our luck it'll happen again,
Hope me posting this will come in useful and thanks again htg for your intitial advice.
