Can someone please tell me if it is legal to have the pressure release pipe from a combi boiler attached to the waste pipe from a bathroom sink? I am getting conflicting information. Some say it is ok others say it must terminate through an exterior wall. HELP please. :?

Check with your BCO what they will and will not permit.

The safety valve discharge pipe should terminate outside the building facing downward. This is to avoid possile boiling water creating a danger or nuisance. However, it should be located in an easily visable position.

Whilst I do not think its illegal - it poses problems such as can the waste pipe take the heat if it blows off excess pressure and the fact that you cannot see it blow off -ie a problem somewhere
