When i attempt to adjust one of our radiator valves, the screwing mechanism within the valve seems to have broken All i have to do to adjust it is to pull it up or push it down using mole grips (a few weeks ago I pulled it out too much and the valve came out, send radiator fluid spurting all over the room!) Trying to turn the valve either clockwise or anti-clockwise makes no difference- if anything, turning the valve anti-clockwise to open it actually closes it, due to the downward pressure im exerting. Therefore was wondering how you would pecommend persuing this problem?

Quite simply visit somewhere like B&Q and buy and fit a new valve.
