|Boiler Pressure

by Milpol1 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 3:53 pm

Good day...............

I have a freind who se boiler is playing up, cant remeber the make sorry, however what is happening is that the pressure is going to zero, we have put water back into the system and the boiler fires up no problem, but then over night and after the boiler has been on for hours the pressure in the boiler goes down to zero again. Again it is filled and the same thing happens.

Any ideas what it could be please.

Milpol1,
Most likely cause is that there is a leak in the system - find it and repair it.

Keep an eye on the pressure gauge, if it rises to 3 bar with the heating on - then the expansion vessel needs re-pressurising or replacing.

Is the PRV dumping water outside?

Or have you solved this?
