Insulation over heatining controls

My mother in law has just had her loft insulated by a firm following an improved insulation grant

She asked me to take a look for her to see if they insulated all areas as agreed and I just wanted to check out one area with someone in the know
on this site

Loft has been insulated with 250mm mineral wool type material and they have completly covered over the circulating pump (Grundfos) and motorised valves (Honeywell) for the central heating

Should these items be left uncovered for any reason or is it usual / best practice to fully insulate as well

Thanks for any advice on this...

They shouldn't be covered, they get hot anyway - covering with loft insulation will cause them to overheat

Thanks htg engineer for your reply
I had a feeling they should be left uncovered, although the rest of the job carried out looks good

Will pop round to the mother in laws again and perform another good deed for the day !.... and uncover these items

Thanks again
