Although I have had individual thermostats fitted to most radiators I still have a master room thermostat located in my hall. I need to move this thermostat approx. 8 - 10inches along the wall. Can I do this myself and if so how?

Hi, Cyork,
first thing is you need to have the room 'stat in an area where the rad(s) don't have thermostatic rad v/vs, to prevent the boiler rapidly cycling on/off (part L of bldg regs requirement), so got to keep it.
To move it requires a registered contractor (part P of same regs) as heating controls are a 'controlled service' so need to contact an electrician who is a registered 'Domestic Installer', sorry not legal to DIY this job.
