Central Heating/Hot water

We have just had our house greatly extended (into old roof & over & on the side) together with the existing central heating/hot water system. We now have a new gas boiler with a Santon megaflow water cylinder together with additional radiators. We do not now have any storage/feeder tanks in the loft which has been built into.

However, when the hot water only is switched on, via the programmer, two radiators next to each other in one bedroom are warming up and some of the other radiator 'return pipes' are warming up but not the radiators themselves nor the 'flow pipes'.

The plumber said the warming of the return pipes was nothing to worry about & that he would 'swap' around the valves on the two bedroom radiators to stop them warming up albeit the return bits would still heat up
.
Just wondered whether this was right way to do it?

Carnegie,
If the boiler pump has a speed control try turning this to a lower setting.

A belated thanks to stoneyboy - the pump did not have a 'turn-down' & the problem still exists - please see my updated post on 1.11.11 re the same problem. The installer is tearing his hair out! Many thanks
