Hi, Can anyone help me with this Boiler,
Central heating is ok. but to get hot water the bottom end of the diaphragm housing has to be lightly tapped with a basher type thing.
This has been happening for about a week now.
The Boiler is a propane one.
Can the diaphragm be faulty or could it be something else.
As I said the central heating is ok and works as normal at all times.
But to get hot water it needs a bash. :-)

Can you be a little more specific as to which Vaillant boiler you have, that way I can look at the boiler manual and have some idea of what you are refering to.

Hi plastic_man77, Thanks for your reply,
In an attempt to find the model number or any sign's to id the boiler I removed the front control panel,
I found on the water inlet a small (almost hidden) tap. just to satisfy my curiosity I turned the tap clockwise by a fraction and tried the hot water tap.
Miracles happened this was the cause of the fault. at some time this tap must have been touched and reduced the water pressure, just enough to stop it working.
I have checked and double checked and found with this tap a very slight movement can cause this to happen.
Possibly caused by the wife and her duster working overtime. :lol:
Problem now solved and boiler working like new on all functions.
However I still have not found any Number or ID for this boiler.
The only marking is Valliant, no model or serial to be found anywhere..
