I have a difficult situation - A nail has pierced one of my rad pipes - its near my solid wood floor. The pipe is sunk in the wall - although we have located it and repaired it with chemical metal.

My Q is will this repair last - or do we need a plumber to fix it properly? The location of the pipe is very awkward to work with!

I would have it repaired properly even if it's just for peace of mind that it's not going to come away and flood the house and destroy your flooring.

The repair you've carried out is just temporary. Get a plumber to take a look, maybe he can think of a way of getting a new pipe to the radiator and disconnecting the old one without damaging your decor.
