Hi, I am fitting a new chimney liner (200mm) for new wood burner and find it impossible to get a chimney pot wide enough for the liner to fit through and be attached to the cowl, which in turn fits secured to the chimney pot. Does anybody knows whether a standard clay pipe can be used for a chimney pot? any help much appreciated..

standard clay pipe is not meant to withstand a great deal of heat, even at the top of a chimney. have you tried reclamation yards..

...got hold of a clay chimney liner 300mm depth by 200mm diameter, hopefully that should do the job?!
