Internal Drain Valve

Greetings,
I need to remove two radiators and fit caps to the flow and return. Both radiators have drain down outlets but no visible means of opening the dain valve. It looks like there is a square key within the drain outlet, if so, how on earth do you turn it on and attach a hose to drain down? :cry:
