Do you not even have a timer fitted to control the boiler?
To comply with current regulation, the boiler must have a room thermostat fitted.
If you have a timeswitch installed then a simple thermostat can be easily fitted to any type of boiler. Alternatively, a programmable thermostat can be fitted which acts as a combined timer and thermostat.
Wireless controls are easier to install, but are more expensive to buy.
This is probably not a DIY task.
