Im installing a combi boiler and all radiators.

I would like to know what is the cheapest pipe to use that will look neat running down the wall and not shorten the life of my boiler. As I understand it:

1) Plastic pipe is cheap but allows ingress of oxygen unless you get stuff that's more expensive than copper once fittings are included.

2)copper pipe is the best most reliable but very expensive

Please could somebody advise a good product that matches my needs. Thanks in advance.

I always use copper, but there's alot of plastic options available now. Most new builds use plastic pipes, the problem with the plastic deteriorating and drawing in air through the walls of the pipe was a problem years ago - but I'm sure this has been overcome now.

Many people use plastic as it's cheaper than copper and then use copper pipe for the pipework that'll be on show - as it looks neater.
