New PCB Needed For Halstead Ace High Combi Boiler Because Boiler Trips?

We have a Halstead Ace High Combi boiler which has begun to misbehave. I'm thinking it needs a new PCB but wondered what any experts would suggest. The symptoms are as follows:-
1/ Boiler will trip off every morning if on timed, and also if hot water is turned on when boiler is set to "hot water only" as in summer use. When reset, the hot water will often still not fire up the boiler.
2/ When boiler put on constant it will trip once, occasionally twice, then will work normally, whole system heats well. Hot water then works normally.
3/ Occasionally boiler will not trip but nothing will happen anyway- water will run but will not fire up boiler.
Pressure in system is good, rads all heat, no air in system, when boiler fires everything works as normal and keeps working. Timer clock is working normally.
Any ideas?
Dave

Hello, sorry I have no advice for you but this sounds exactly like the problem I'm having too - so I wondered if you'd done anything and solved it? Thanks

Not yet - I spent some time trying to source a cheap pcb. In a week we'll be having a visit from a plumber who specializes in these boilers to give his verdict.

OK maybe you could post his findings on here? I have a plumber looking at it next week too so maybe one of them will crack the problem, thanks
