Help
My radiator valve is leaking from under the plastic cover. I can't seem to remove the cover to do any repairs that I have read to try. What can I do?

Hi denbob30
If there's no screw in the top, then the cover will simply pull off. As far as the leak is concerned, try tightening the nut at the top of the valve. This usually solves the problem, otherwise it's a replacement valve.

That's what I thought and that is the case with other radiators in the house but not this one. It is completely stuck for some reason! I intend to try tightening the nut... When I can get to it.

So if the others pull off, sounds like a bit more wellie is required. Let's face it, if you break the plastic, it's not the end of the world. The leak is the important point.

I don't mind breaking it... I just can't. What do you suggest I use?

Difficult to say, as I've no idea what's in your tool kit. personally, I'd give the thing a good squeeze with a pair of water pump pliers.
