Can you use PTFE Tape on Leaking Magna Clean Cap?

Have serviced my magna clean, but it has a slight leak from the cap(definitely not cross threaded).
Was thinking of using some PTFE. Would this be of any use.

No reason why not Trev. It cant damage the appliance and should seal the thread still allowing capremoval.
