RCD Trip Baxi Duo-tec Combi 28 HE

The RCD keeps triping intermittently. It will run perfectly for hours then when it runs again the RCD trips. The boiler was installed in November 2013 and is in warranty, but when I rang Baxi they said they only cover internal boiler faults and I need to get my own electrician to identify the fault with external RCD. My point was that it was most likely a fault inside the boiler causing the RCD to trip. So its a catch 22 situation. The RCD was installed as part of the boiler system and is fitted to the wall right next to the boiler, so I fail to see why its not covered. Any advice appreciated.

Just discovered the cause of the problem. The boiler which is in my garage has been sighted immediately below the upstairs bathroom wash basin waste pipe. There has been a leak form the waste pipe and water has run down onto the electrical channel and the RCD unit, causing it to trip. Looking at the installation I wonder if the electrical installation, which is right up against the waste pipe, is in breach of H&E regs.
