Replacing Central Heating Pipework in 3 bed Semi Refurb

I have a 3 bed semi I’m doing a full refurb on. The property originally had micro-bore piping for the central heating running of a Combi boiler.
I’ve removed the Microbore and will be replacing with 15mm & 22mm PEX.
Currently the boiler is downstairs and the 22mm flow and return pipe go upstairs first straight from the boiler.
Downstairs I have concrete floors.
The pipe work as it was previously ran upstairs first with pipework going down to each downstairs room from the rooms above.
Questions is this.
Is there any issue with running a return pipes from the downstairs radiators going upstairs to connect to return pipe?
Only reason I’m asking is the distance the return pipe has to travel going upstairs first (2.5 metres or so).
As I have concrete floor downstairs I can’t run return pipes downstairs.
Thoughts appreciated.
Ps - I’m not professional plumber but have previously refurbed single floor apartments with plumbing etc.
