Wireless Thermostat and Logic Combi Boiler Issue!

by Carllongson » Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:02 pm

Hi looking for a bit of assistance here. Tonight when turning the central heating on from wireless thermostat by pressing the ‘man’button all I seem to get is the boiler displaying a c on the screen (logic combi) which to my knowledge is showing their is a call for heating then the boiler fires up starts to heat the radiators then cuts out like it’s up to temperature after 2 mins. Hot water is working fine. Any help or suggestions?

Thanks

It may help to know the model, but in general a boiler has a variable output around 8 kW to 28 kW depending on the model, there are two ways to control the output, the ebus or the return water temperature.

I will assume the latter, so basic idea is as the TRV's close the by-pass valve opens so if the by-pass valve was stuck open, then the boiler would turn off quickly.

However 2 minutes does seem rather a short time.
