Baxi Solo 3 50PF Fan Working Intermittently

Hi
I am wondering if anyone can hep me I have a BAXI solo 3 50pf boiler and the fan works intermittently , when I fire boiler up the fan tries to turn but wont, then after about 10 mins it turns for about 5 mins and then stops again , so no hot water or heating ... how can I check whether its the fan that's faulty or the APS at the side of the fan or could it be something else ?
