What is large water tank in loft for?

by rhogb » Sat Jun 20, 2020 10:04 pm

I have had an air source heating system fitted , I have one large water tank in the loft (I used to have a small tank as well before it was fitted) .
What I want to know is what does the large tank feed. Is it for feeding the radiators or the hot water cylinder.?
Many thanks in advance.

Hi rohgb
It probably feeds cold water to you hot water cylinder, loos, and any cold tap that is not on mains.

As far as I know all the cold taps and toilets are run from the main cold water coming in to the house.

Hi rhogb
In that case it looks like the tank feeds the hot water cylinder.
