Radiator will not drain before removal

by Giveitago58 » Wed Jul 20, 2022 10:05 am

I want to remove radiator for decorating. I've switched off both valves and undone the nut on right side but apart from a few drips, no water is draining. The nut only turns a few times before getting stuck, so I don't see how I will loosen it completely to remove radiator, once drained. I've loosened the air valve, but still nothing draining. What more do I need to do to drain radiator?

Hi giveitago58,
If you are using a spanner/wrench to undo the nut and it won't budge try the left end. You may need to remove the bleed screw to break the vacuum caused by draining.
