How to cover a 'vent-a-matic' - letting in cold air

Hello,

In my bathroom, I currently have two 'vent-a-matic' style vents which are continuously open and can't be closed. They're in-built into the window.

I understand that these are typically used in rooms where there is a gas appliance and a need for constant ventilation - but this isn't the case in my bathroom?

As they're always open, the bathroom is absolutely freezing. Is there any way to cover these? I've searched online but not seen any options.

Any advice would be much appreciated - thanks!

Hi newtodiy47,
Either remove the vents and stick a piece of plastic over the hole or, cut a piece of plastic to fit in the edge of the ventamatic and glue this in place - clear silicone is ideal for this. Regards S
