Worcester Greenstar 25i : Problem with Central Heating although Hot Water ok

Hello to any and all helpful experts out there.
Situation here is I am pretty sure a self-created one unfortunately. Someone (me) was pushed to put the heating on one cold night which led to a week of 24/7 heating whilst I was away. So when I returned, I tried to reset matters to try to make this more economical.
I reset the RF Receiver hours etc to hopefully get that right, then looking at the boiler, I saw the temp there was set at 75 degrees, which I thought too high and reset downward. I think in the course of doing all that I have managed to do something with that panel on the boiler, as it will not run in an automatic mode any longer.
I have tried to follow the instructions on the inside of the flap again to reset the temperature - this has been accepted and 'eco' shows on the display but then nothing happens.
Could anyone perhaps provide any further guidance please?
