I have a 8 year old Vent-Axia 443298B Lo Carbon Multivent MVDC-MSH Continuous Humidistat Mechanical Extract Ventilation in my flat which hasn't been working for many years. Apparently the motor and potentially motherboard need replacing, a quote for the parts is £258 and I would still need someone to install the parts, it looks like I can get a new unit for £195, would it be easier to switch out the parts or get a new unit installed? And if a new unit would I be better off with a newer version or identical to the previous one.

Hi carolinet237,
I would recommend you get a new unit, if remote Bluetooth sensors are installed you will need to check if they are compatible with the new unit. If they will work with the updated model go for this.
