Can I have a combi boiler and sink in the same room?

Hi
Hope someone can help. I have bought and old house and want to put in a new system.
I want a combi boiler fitted in the cloakroom with a toilet and sink. I've been told that this is ok by some gas fitters, and that its not by others - because you shouldn't be able to reach the sink and boiler at the same time.
Can anyone clarify this for me, does anyone know the exact corgi regulation?
Please reply in laymans speak or I won't understand!
Thanks
Christine
