Hi

New flat, cold bathroom

Right, I have 1 radiator which is ~ 1/2 full, the bottom half is lovely and toasty, but the top isn't obviously.
The other radiators are fine

I've tried bleeding, but there doesn't seem to be any pressure pushing the air out

I've got an old style boiler/HW tank system. Am I correct in assuming this type of system doesn't need to be repressurised like a combi would. Not that I can find a pressure valve in any case!

Would this be a balancing issue?

Yes, it looks like a pressure-balancing is needed, after setting the circulating pump to maximum speed. ( but the actual bleeding should be done with the pump not operating, as it is possible to let air into the system.)

this once happened to me what i did was to turn all other radiators off apart from one with the problem, bleed the air out of rad, and turned on the c/h ,i let it run for while until was nice and toasty then gradually went round and opened other rad valves , seemed to work for me
