Hello,

I have been under the floor boards and found that I have a 22mm pipe with a 8mm manifold off of it on both the feed and return. The 22mm pipe is also tee'd at the boiler to feed the 8mm manifold upstairs.

At present upstairs the manifold serves 3 rooms

downstairs manifold serves 5 rooms.

the down stairs has a cap on an unused outlet in the manifold.

can I uncap this and run another radaitor?

If I can what do I need to hook the 8mm pipe to the manifold?

Yes. That's what it's there for. As long as your boiler has the capacity you can just go ahead. Unless you've already added radiators it's likely that your boiler will have enough capacity for another radiator or 2. You only need the pipe and (depending on the size of maniford fittings) maybe a reducer for 8mm. Depending on where the new radiator is and how large you might have to do some balancing later on.
