bricking up air bricks??

Hi,

I've recently bought a house built in the 1950s. Once the heating is switched off it gets cold quickly. I'm having new double glazing which will help, however, I also want to brick up the air bricks in the bedrooms (they're pretty unsightly too). Are there any reasons why I shouldn't do this or can I go ahead?

Thanks

Gary

The air vents can be removed if you have no gas appliances nearby that require them to be there or if you are sure you are suitably ventilated against condensation. See the project on condensation.
