Central heating wont turn off

My boiler is working fine. C/H and Water switch on and off on the timer fine. Problem is that when the room termostate reaches required temp the radiators continue to get hotter.

I can also switch the c/h off from the timer, so hot water only and the readiators continue to get hotter !!

I am no expert but could it be a faulty motorised valve/ room termostate or timer. ??

House is approx 15 years old new pump fitted last year, everything else original.

Any advise would be appreciated

hi

if the heating still gets hotter when switched off and hot water is on it will most probably be the motorised valve.
to check get someone to turn heating on and off while watching the valve. if nothing happens ie you dont hear a motor moving you have a faulty valve motor or seized valve.

hope this helps
