Central Heating pipe accessories?

My hallway is substantially colder than the other rooms in my house. I am wanting to swap the single radiator for a double but there is no give in the pipes coming out of the ground. The result is that the pipes would almost certainly break were I to force them. I was wondering whether there were any accessories that I could fit to the pipe which would give me the extra depth that I need to fit a double radiator.

Do you mean something other than connectors and elbows ?
If yes - then not really, you'll have to cut the pipes fit a connector and then re-pipe the radiator.
If you were to lower the radiator - would that help ? is it possible ?
Get a plumber/heating engineer out for advice and a price to carry out the work.

Depending on the extra depth required you could make a 'swans neck' piece with a pipe bender or using two right angle bends with a short piece of pipe between them, solder joints will look much neater.
