Good day.
I have just aquired a small cottage in the country and it has all concrete floors,it only has Econamy 7 heating in just now,but I want to put oil central heating into it, but I dont want to dig up the floors to track the heating pipes that connect to each radiator, what I wish to know is would it be safe to track the pipe through the stud walls of the house, I am in the dark with this as I have asked around my local but knowbody is willing to say yes or no, so I have come to the experts,to get the answer
Aslo would I have to insulate the piping in the walls if I get the green light

IN THEORY, CANT SEE WHY NOT!!!

AFTER ALL ELECTRICAL CABLES CAN BE RUN THROUGH STUD WALLS!!!

BUT MAYBE SOME WHERE THERE IS A REGULATION THAT PROHIBITS THIS??? OR A WATER BYLAW???

GUESS YOU WILL HAVE TO ASK BUILDING CONTROL FOR ADVICE.

JUST SOME THOUGHTS ON THE PROPOSAL: -

IT WILL MEAN DRILLING HOLES/NOTCHING EVERY STUD OR NOGGIN THATS IN THE PROPOSED PIPEWORK ROUTE!!!

APPLYING PIPE INSULATION TO ALL OF PIPEWORK!!!
(BIG HOLES/NOTCHES) !!!

MIGHT AFFECT STUCTURE TO MUCH???

THIS IS ALL GUESSWORK ON MY HALF, BUT PLAY SAFE,SEEK FURTHER ADVICE AND ABIDE BY ANY REGULATIONS, BECAUSE SOME DAY YOU MIGHT WANT TO SELL THE PROPERTY?????
