Recently my lounge radiator has been leaking loosing pressure to my combi boiler (problem fixed now). We had a really cold spell so i turned the temperature up on the boiler. Coming out of the boiler is a 15mm pipe which is channeled through the outside wall and bent downwards. I can't remeber the name of this pipe but i know its there for pessure overload and other problems with the boiler. If i turn my boiler on now, after a few hours water drips from this pipe. This has never happened before and i don't think anything should drip from this pipe. Is it due to the boiler being set at a higher temperature? Is the pressure too high, or should i just get a plumber in to service the boiler?

WHAT IS THE SYSTEM PRESSURE WHEN BOILER IS NOT OPERATING?

WHAT IS SYTEM PRESSURE WHEN BOILER IS OPERATING?

IF PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE IS OPENING UP SLIGHTLY DUE TO EXCESSIVE SYTEM PRESSURE, THEN YOU WILL SEE WATER DRIPPING FROM THE PRV DISCHARGE PIPE OUTSIDE.
CHECK AND ADJUST PRESSURE.

BE SURE THAT THE FILL LOOP VALVE IS FULLY CLOSED AFTER ANY PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT, AS THIS TOO, CAN CAUSE A GRADUAL INCREASE IN PRESSURE RESULTING IN THE PRV OPENING SLIGHTLY.

IF SYSTEM PRESSURE IS WITHIN NORMAL OPERATING TOLERANCES FOR YOUR PARTICULAR BOILER, THEN THE PRV IS FAILING.
HAVE IT REPLACED.
