Re-locating boiler

Thanks for any help.

We're looking at getting a new combi boiler installed - the old one is about twenty years old and is located in the cellar (not sure the flue position is as it should be being about two inches above ground level).

We're looking at moving the boiler into the bathroom (first floor) to combat the flue issue and reduce the pipe length between the taps and the boiler.

The existing pipework could be re-used but the gas pipe will have to be taken from the cellar to the bathroom.

Does anyone have any idea of ball park figures for costs? We're unsure even what kind of figure to be looking at. Many thanks.

Impossible to say without seeing the job - best bet would be to get some heating engineers out for free quotes.

Get 3 or 4 then if they're all around thee same figure you know it's a common/fair price - if the 2 are similar and the other price variation is huge, then you'll find the one's trying to rip you off.
