primatic cylinder replacement

i looked at a job with a primatic cylinder that needs replacing has any one changed one of these and fitted a indirect cylinder and fed it from a f/e tank with a vent from the circs and a feed in to the circs,it should work o.k. i think any thoughts guys? thanks
