removing concreted posts

What's the best way to remove metal posts that are solidly concreted to the ground from an old patio I am taking down?
Cut them off at ground level with an angle grinder. You can either buy one in the tool store (follow link) or hire one from your local tool hire shop. Don't forget to wear goggles and gloves.
