Hi, I am about to lay some foundations, the problem is the trench has started to fill with water. Can I still lay the concret into the water? If not is there a way to solve the water problem.
Many thanks Lee.

lee2472,
Dig out a deeper bit in the foundations and hire a dirty water pump.

Hi

Are you digging a the correct depth sounds like you are in the water table
speak to the BI (building inspector) ask him if you can raise your dig
level to just above the water table level.
or
Try digging in the morning and pouring in the afternoon the digger will take the water away as it digs (also have a pump to hand)a 2" submersible will do,dig a small sump hole at the end of your last pull.
Do not leave any trenches open without concreting because due to the water the sides will fall in over night and you will have to re dig, if you cant pour the whole foundation in a day speak to the BI about a construction joint in the concrete.
or
Dig and pour together, you would need permission from the BI and a few bodys on site to help.
