Hi all, first post, any advice appreciated :-)

Had a pattern imprint concrete job recently small garden 6 meter square.

Seems OK but has developed white patches, pic attached.

Builder says it is condensation and he will remove with xylene.

Does this seem right?

The desired colour is the reddy one seen in the central "brick" and all the other white seen is undesired.

He says cant do it until early 2016. Should I push for earlier date?

Thanks.

The concrete will take a while to cure so its probably best to wait for the builder.

Hi Neil the Oxford handyman here,

The white is more than likely nothing more than natural salt content leaching out. This was probably present in the quarry sand. You may notice it on numerous new builds. Don't panic it will dissolve over time and dissipate and not affect the strength of the structure.

Hope this helps,
Kind regards
