Any Problems With Removing a Concrete Path that Butts up to Property

I have a concrete path running around the outside of my house which buts up to my brick work. It is about a meter wide and between 6 to 8cm thick. The edge which buts up to the brickwork has been mortared to the brick below the DPC. Most of the mortar is cracked and there is some root damage which has caused cracking right across the path in number of places. I have now removed the offending trees.

Are there any issues with removing the concrete, and what is the best way to remove it (without resorting to an air chisel)?

A concrete breaker will be necessary to break it up, the thickness of the concrete will be to heavy, to man handle in big sections
