Concrete Floor Inside by Door Damp and Draughty

Hello,

This is my first post. Just bought a new house which has a few problems. Wonder if someone here could advise on the below.

Found floor under carpet by door which seems to be concrete in a really bad condition with signs of damp and draft coming from outside.

Floor sounds hollow when I tap on it like there is a void under it.

From the outside you can see that door sits on the same brick line as the damp proof course.

Any advise welcome.

chisel out as much loose stuff as you can, clear debris, and fill the gap under the door with expanding foam, when its set, cut off the excess and fill the area with sand and cement.
Its not a major problem, the door sill should have been bedded on with silicone, its a common fault
