Resin Pointing on Patio and Loose Grains on Top

by NoiseManUK » Sat Jun 09, 2018 7:02 pm

Evening all, hope you are well.

Looking for some advice on a re-pointing job I had done last week.

I've had the patio repointed using a resin bond (the granule looking stuff). I'm a bit concerned because the grains seem to be loose on the top layer of the pointing - if that makes any sense.

For example, if you run your finger along the joint, you will get a few grains come away.

Just wondering if I should be worried or if this is just normal for this type of pointing as it beds in.

Thanks in advance!

Andy
