Self Levelling Screed on a Tamped Concrete Slab

In front of our garage is a tamped concrete slab (original garage base which was removed and a new garage constructed further back).
It’s unslightly and the ridges hold dirt and water. We can’t flag over the slab as it would be too close to the house damp course. Could we apply a self levelling screed?
Also, there is a row of 2ft x2ft concrete flags around 3 sides of the slab- could the same levelling compound be used to unify the whole area with one surface?
Many thanks for any advice you can offer me.
