Hi,
I have an existing old concrete base 4.7 x 3.7m that is not level, I can't make the slab any bigger, I could either pour a small amount of concrete over it to raise the height and level or I can lay patio slabs on the existing base. I really want to avoid digging the whole lot out.
I'm more comfortable laying slabs myself but will it work if the current base isn't perfectly flat by just using the bedding cement to even up the level of the slabs or will the bedding cement fall away at the edges and crack?
The structure going on this is fairly large log cabin which all the weight goes on the perimeter, I thought the slabs could spread the load more evenly.
