Refurbishing Outside Patio Area and Concrete Slab

Hello All,

First post here, looking to get some solid advice with the dilemma I have.

I’m currently refurbishing a bungalow and the internals are 90% complete. I recently knocked down the conservatory that was attached to the rear as it was in a dreadful condition, by doing so I’m left with a concrete slab around 4.5m x 2m. The remainder of the garden is old patio slabs/ concrete and lawn.
I want to do something with this slab so it makes the outside look a little more presentable (looking at putting on the market soon) but don’t want to spend lots of money transforming the outside space. My first initial thought was to cover it with decking, but after looking more closely I do not have the height between the slab and the door thresholds. So the only way I could build a deck is to dig out the slab, which I really don’t want to do. So my question is what do you guys think is best to do and what would you do in my situation?
Images attached so you can see what I’m dealing with.
PS. I know that the patio needs to be cut away from the DPC.

Cheers!

Hi turtonaj
Hack off the remainder of the conservatory wall and lay new slabs over the lot.
