The surface of my new patio will be above the level of a drain which takes rainwater to a soakaway. In the attached picture I’ve loose-laid some slabs to show where the patio surface will be.

I assume I will need a second drain cover, level with the patio surface. Also, what about the drop between the patio surface and the existing drain cover (green arrow in my pic). Do I just pack this with concrete? I've heard about something called a "gully kerb", but when I searched for that (on this site) nothing came up.

I'd be grateful for any help you can give me !

Suggest you use a sharp sand + cement mix and form a bevelled surface from the top of the slabs down to the edge of the drain gulley. You may find this useful for sweeping any excess water away when you clean the patio.
