is my tanking working

by mattadamson » Tue Jun 03, 2008 12:31 pm

Hello,

i recently applied a cote of tanking to may walls (3 days ago), about 6 inches under finished floor level and about a meter above.

the tanking has dried but i can see damp patches in it, i also noticed water on the inside on the house, it was in a grove of the tanking, im i applied it thick and made sure it took well by spraying the walls with warter before application (1907 house so the muck is very lose and dusty)
.

i think i'll apply another coat but i have no idea if damp patches a few days after applicatino is normal or am i stuffed with an old leaking house!

help

What substance did you use for this tanking?

Hi,

it was a product from wycamol, wycamol tanking. seems to be cement based.
i have now applied a few layers and can still see the dots around the damp proof injection, so where we did the injections, let it settle, tanked over it a few times and no its all grey with dark circles showing through.

odd?!?
