Hello
I am installing central heating in an otherwise damp house I've bought. Will it be a problem for a damp proofer to remove and reinstate the radiators? I was going to get all the damp proofing done first and then put in central heating but it has been suggested to me that the house may be damp because there has never been any heating and that perhaps I could save some money on expensive dpc treatments if I put in central heating and wait 6 months or so.
Has anyone any advice?

Rebka,
Depends what is the source of the damp eg rising damp, penetrating damp through walls, condensation etc.
Retrofit CH generally has pipes around the walls so will be a problem if a DPC is being injected.
When you install CH make sure the roof is very well ventilated or you will end up with major condensation problems.

Thanks for your reply stoneyboy. It's rising damp.
One more question please re: getting roof ventilated would you suggest soffit vents? It's quite a large roof space.
