Hi There

I seem to have a problem with damp on my interior wall on the gable end, in the summer when it rains but the air out side is warm i dont get any damp on my walls at all, but as soon as it starts getting colder outside and there is moisture in the air then this is when all my problems start with the damp.

I have tried using thompsons waterseals on the bricks outside but this doesnt seem to have worked.

Is there anything else that i could use on the outside brick to cure my problems, i thought of using bitumen or can you advise me

cheers

glynn,
The water seal should stop most of the penetrating damp (assuming you have applied 2 or 3 coats). Your problem is more likely to be condensation.

"Your problem is more likely to be condensation."

Agree and the answer to that is - ventilation!
