I have had a damp proof done on the lower floor of my house am I ok to have cavity wall insulation done?

Houses needing a DPM are generally pre war and do not have cavities - are you sure you have a cavity?

My house is 1930ies ex council other houses of the same type have had the cavity wall done. I was wondering does the cavity wall insulation have an adverse affect on a damp proof course?

If there was a need for a DPM to be installed the chances are that this will not totally stop rising damp. The only potential problem will be that once the cavity is filled the walls will only have one surface for evaporation of trapped moisture to escape.
Have a word with your neighbours who have had their cavity filled and see if they have any damp problems.
